Job Title: Carpenter/Packer
Job Type: Contract – 6 Months
Location: Broken Arrow, OK
Pay Rate: $23/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (hours may vary based on company needs)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and self-sufficient Carpenter/Packer to fabricate and assemble wooden crates, pallets, cabinets, and other shipping structures. This role is critical for ensuring simulator training devices and components are securely packed and shipped to their destinations without damage.

Key Responsibilities

· Read and interpret blueprints, shipping notices, and transportation specifications.

· Inspect products to determine appropriate container dimensions, materials, supports, and bracing.

· Lay out and cut materials using measuring tools, saws, and hand tools.

· Assemble and secure products within containers using padding and proper wrapping.

· Construct crates for large or irregularly shaped items and secure with screws and banding material.

· Apply labels or stencils detailing shipment information.

· Repair broken crates as needed and ensure compliance with packing requirements.

· Move finished crates to the shipping area; maintain a clean and organized workspace.

· Collaborate with team members across departments in a professional and cooperative manner.

· Handle and safeguard sensitive company materials and information.

· Maintain punctual attendance and a safety-focused mindset at all times.

Required Skills

· Proficiency with hand tools and wood shop power equipment.

· Ability to read and interpret documents and technical instructions.

· Strong verbal and written communication in English.

· Comfortable writing basic reports and presenting information.

· Solid math skills, including geometry and basic algebra.

· Capable of problem-solving with minimal direction.

Physical Requirements

· Must regularly lift up to 10 lbs, frequently lift up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

· Must have good peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

· Noise level is moderate; safety protocols must be followed at all times.
