Carpenter/Tradesman

McAlvain Construction, a Big-D Company, has an opportunity for an experienced Carpenter/Tradesman to join our team of construction professionals based in the Boise, ID area.

 Experience/Training:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Construction


• Proven experience in commercial construction (carpentry, drywall, and/or metal framing)


• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety


• Strong attention to detail

Duties:

• Drywall: hanging, taping, and finishing to a clean, professional standard


• Metal framing: layout and installation of metal stud framing systems


• Doors and hardware: installation and adjustment of commercial doors, frames, and hardware (hinges, closers, locksets, panic hardware)


• Bathroom accessories: installation of grab bars, partitions, dispensers, mirrors, and other commercial restroom fixtures


• Punchlist work: identifying and resolving deficiencies to meet project specifications


• Strong attention to detail, especially for punchlist and finish-level work


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across job sites


• Reading and working from commercial construction drawings and specifications
