Carpet Installer

Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Event Carpet Installer to join our team. As an Event Carpet Installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation and removal of carpets at various event venues. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and remove carpets for events, exhibitions, and trade shows
• Measure and cut carpet to fit specific event spaces and requirements
• Ensure proper carpet alignment, seaming, and securing to create a seamless appearance
• Work with different types of carpets and flooring materials
• Operate and maintain carpet installation tools and equipment
• Collaborate with event setup teams to meet project deadlines
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
• Assist in loading and unloading of carpet materials
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues on-site

• 5+ years of carpet installation experience
• Able to operate forklift 
• Previous experience in carpet installation, preferably in event or commercial settings
• Knowledge of various carpet installation techniques and materials
• Ability to read and interpret floor plans and installation instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various positions (kneeling, bending, standing) for extended periods
