GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Lutz Case Manager provides immediate, trauma-informed support to survivors of human trafficking during times of crisis. This role is responsible for conducting initial needs assessments, developing individualized care plans, and connecting residents to essential services such as medical and dental care, mental health support, food assistance, and identification documents. The Case Manager plays a vital role in helping residents stabilize during their stay—ranging from 1 to 60 days—while laying the groundwork for continued healing and long-term recovery. The ultimate goal is to ensure each woman receives compassionate, coordinated care that supports her safety, dignity, and next steps toward lasting restoration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Commitment to work with and provide trauma-informed care to women who have experienced human trafficking.
Assist residents in accessing essential services such as obtaining identification, enrolling in food assistance programs, securing medical care, and connecting with mental health resources.
Provide all services related to the intake activities.
Thorough knowledge of community services, target population and ability to network with community providers regarding program services and referrals of clients.
Refer clients to community resources for services such as job placement, debt counseling, legal aid, housing, medical treatment, or financial assistance, and provide concrete information, such as where to go and how to apply.
Counsel clients regarding issues including mental health, poverty, unemployment, substance abuse, physical abuse, rehabilitation, social adjustment, childcare, or medical care.
Collect supplementary information needed to assist client.
Complete follow-ups of all successful and neutral placements as required by Agency and Funders.
Collaborate with all external and internal stakeholders.
Achieve individual productivity requirements, contribute appropriately to group productivity objectives, and use independent judgment.
Complete and update case records for each client in accordance with agency Guidelines
Responsible for reports as required by the Agency in a timely and thorough manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Able to speak, write and understand English.
Bilingual Preferred
Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to set appropriate limits, work under deadlines and multi-task.
Ability to organize, prioritize, self-motivate, and deliver results.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Possess strong work ethics.
Ability to empathize and practice trauma-informed care with those who have experienced various levels of trauma.
Successfully pass a FDLE Level II background screening.
Valid Florida driver’s license, ability to drive, and reliable transportation.

Remain free from any substances that affect my ability and capacity to perform my duties.
Recognize personal issues, behaviors, or conditions that may impact my performance as a NCPRSS.
Maintain regular supervision and ongoing support so I have a person with whom I can address challenging personal issues, behaviors, or conditions that may negatively effect my own recovery. I understand that misconduct may result in the suspension of my credentials.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
BSW degree or degree related to social service or substance abuse and previous experience as a Case Manager preferred.
Previous experience in an anti-trafficking related field preferred
Willingness to travel/drive regularly. Have a valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance.
