Rural Resources Community Action, Pullman, WA (Ful-Time/Hybrid)

Summary
Rural Resources Community Action (RRCA) is seeking a dedicated Case Manager or Trainee for the Senior and Independent Living Services program. This role involves providing comprehensive case management services to individuals or families, assessing needs, developing and monitoring service plans, making appropriate referrals, and serving as a client advocate. The position requires knowledge of community resources and relevant laws and regulations.

Salary Information
Our Case Manager position is offered at $21.65-$23.42 per hour with a full salary range of $21.65 $57.73. Our Trainee position is offered at $19.87- $21.49 per hour with a full salary range of $19.87 -$52.96. Actual wage will vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, experience and qualifications. Employees who successfully meet or exceed performance expectations during their annual performance evaluation will be eligible for a 4% wage increase. The full salary range for this position represent the low and high end of the total salary range for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial interviews with clients and their families to assess eligibility for services.
  • Gather data from clients, families, and other agencies to formulate a psychosocial assessment.
  • Facilitate group discussions and decision-making sessions to design integrated intervention plans.
  • Monitor adherence to service plans and manage information flow to maintain goal orientation.
  • Provide support and information during crises and conflicts with service providers.
  • Maintain documentation of client progress and adherence to plans.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, families, and service providers to ensure smooth information flow and minimize      conflicts.
  • Establish and maintain good public relations with resource systems to mobilize resources for clients.
  • Provide in-home monitoring of assigned clients.
  • Stay current on state and federal policies, requirements, laws, and regulations governing programs and services.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • Ability to access and egress non-ADA facilities and homes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft OneDrive, Outlook, Excel,  and Adobe.
  • Knowledge of the dynamics of aging, grief, and death.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention and counseling principles and practices.
  • Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, gatekeepers, and the public.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience

  • Case Manager:
    • Master’s degree in behavioral or health sciences and one year of paid social service experience; or
    • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or health sciences and two years of paid social service experience; or
    • Bachelor’s degree and four years of paid social service experience; or
    • Deemed Case Management Status from a Washington State Area Agency on Aging.
  • Case Manager Trainee:
    • High School diploma or equivalent and one year of paid social service experience; or
    • High School diploma and one year of full-time equivalent verifiable hours through an internship or volunteer work in       social services; or
    • Bachelor’s degree unrelated to behavioral or health sciences without relevant job experience.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence.
  • Auto insurance as required by the State of Washington.
  • Acceptable completion of a criminal history background check.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
  • Light to moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
