The Art Program Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical planning and coordination of Direct Support Services delivered by the Living Resources Arts Program.  These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the primary supervision of all Art Program Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDPs), providing clinical training / documentation, mentoring / performance oversight, and professional development to QIDPs, and ensuring that services are being delivered at the highest possible caliber and will act as an advocate for all program participants.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with Art Program QIDPs to ensure Participants’ satisfaction with services. 
  • Support QIDPs to conduct their responsibilities to the highest possible standard. 
  • Ensure that the Art Program adheres to state, company, and program standards with respect to service documentation, billing procedures, and audit readiness. 
  • Provide QIDP staff relief as needed during vacations, emergency absences, or unforeseen circumstances. 
  • Conduct Annual Performance Reviews for QIDPs. 
  • Monitor, add, or update payroll information in Paylocity for QIDPs. 
  • Support Day Services Administrative Supervisor with appropriate duties as needed. 

Staff Training and Development: 

  • Train QIDPs on Paylocity functions to include punching in/out, transferring between studios, taking lunch breaks, and timecard corrections. 
  • Train QIDPs on billing procedures and service documentation in NX to include document uploads, descriptive DSRs, billing approvals, monthly summaries, Staff Action Plans, CHOICES utilization, and accurate digital attendance. 
  • Train QIDPs on reporting procedures including Behavior Observations, Incident Reports and Jonathan’s Law in a timely manner. 
  • Train QIDPs on the Purchase Order process. 
  • Deliver and document specific trainings as needed to QIDPs. 
  • Review QIDPs mandatory trainings and assist with scheduling trainings quarterly. 

Operational Oversight and Development: 

  • Collaborate with the Art Program Assistant Director, and Art Program Manager to ensure both quality of service for participants and accurate and timely billing. 
  • Coordinate with Staff Recruiter to participate in prospective QIDP interviews, and support new hires to as they navigate the onboarding process to include the timely submission of required documents, completion of Schoox, and in-person trainings. 
  • Provide ongoing oversight to QIDPs to ensure LOS, IPOP, DDP2, student thumbnails, and other documents as necessary. 

General Program Administration: 

  • Participate in appropriate Art Program, Day Services, and corporate meetings and facilitate weekly QIDP team meetings. 
  • Assist in the transition planning for new Participants as part of the intake process i.e. look over Participant background information as another set of eyes to determine program eligibility. 
  • Participate on cross-functional committees when requested. 
  • Review and approve program schedules and “Here’s Your Day” sheets as needed in collaboration with the Art Program AD and Art Program Manager. 
  • Develop and conduct systemized internal program audits for Arts Program QIDPs. 
  • Maintain Arts Program calendar to include Life Plan meetings and QIDP time off requests. 

Requirements

  • One year experience in providing services to persons with intellectual disabilities. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services related field. 
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving and leadership skills.
