Job Description - Case Manager - Working with Seniors overcoming homelessness

Help Our Seniors Move From Homelessness to Home

At Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS), we believe everyone deserves stability, dignity, and a place to call home — especially older adults who have fallen on hard times.

We’re looking for a compassionate, resourceful, and driven Housing & Employment Navigator to work directly with individuals 55 and older experiencing homelessness, helping them move toward stable housing, employment opportunities, and long-term independence.

If you love working with people, solving problems, and seeing real-life success stories unfold, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be a guide, advocate, and connector for clients navigating one of the most important transitions of their lives.

You’ll:

  •  Build customized housing plans with clients based on their needs and goals
  • Conduct intakes and help clients create actionable case plans
  • Connect clients to housing providers and remove barriers to stable housing
  • Help job-ready clients pursue employment opportunities
  • Provide practical supports like transportation assistance, clothing resources, and job readiness tools
  • Help clients complete paperwork and navigate referrals and services
  • Track progress, maintain case records, and support program reporting
  • Share client success stories that show the real impact of our work

You’ll meet weekly with clients, advocate for them across services, and help them stay on track toward housing and self-sufficiency.

Community Connection & Growth

You’ll also:

• Connect clients with job training and life skills programs
• Build relationships with community partners and service providers
• Help onboard and support new staff members
• Occasionally transport clients to critical appointments
• Strengthen partnerships across campus programs

Who You Are

You might be perfect for this role if you:

  • Enjoy working directly with people and helping them succeed
  • Stay calm and solution-focused in challenging situations
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately
  • Are organized and comfortable managing documentation and data systems
  • Believe in meeting people where they are and helping them move forward
  • Experience in case management, housing services, employment services, or social services is a strong plus.

Work Environment

Most work happens in a professional office setting, with occasional off-site events and community visits. You’ll be active throughout the day, moving around campus and working closely with clients and partners.

Schedule

This is a full-time position; Wed- Sat 7 AM - 6 PM  Four (4) ten hour shifts

Occasional evenings or weekends may be needed based on client and program needs. Travel is primarily local.

Why Join CASS?

Because here, your work has real impact.

Every successful housing placement, every job obtained, and every client who regains stability represents a life changed — and you get to be part of that journey.

If you want a role where compassion meets action and where your work truly matters, we’d love to meet you.

Join CASS and help our community move from crisis to stability, one client at a time.
