Estimated Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Phoenix, AZ

 

Position Description    
The Client is seeking a Case Manager for the Arizona Refugee Resettlement Program. This role involves providing comprehensive case management services to the Client eligible individuals and families, including assistance with SNAP, temporary cash aid, childcare, education, and medical services. The Case Manager will oversee direct case management for 30-35 beneficiaries, develop Self-Sufficiency Plans with clients, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and maintain accurate documentation. They will also coordinate resources, provide education training, and facilitate meetings with community partners. This position requires a strong understanding of federal and state regulations, cultural competence, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.

 

Skills Required 
¦ Strong communication and interpersonal skills ¦ Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles ¦ Knowledge of available social services and resources for refugees ¦ Oral and written communication ¦ Interpreting program policies and procedures ¦ Tracking funding and resource development ¦ Planning, and outlining philosophy, objectives, goals and techniques for accomplishment ¦ Using a variety of computer software packages (e.g., Excel, Word, databases, Access, PowerPoint, Google Suite, etc.)

 

Skills Preferred
Work independently and as part of a team ¦ Resolve complex problems and work effectively in high-pressure situations ¦ Adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment ¦ Establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse peoples, groups, and sets of circumstances in the course of work ¦ Understand the challenges faced by refugees and provide culturally competent services ¦ Write clear, concise, and accurate reports (e.g., statistical, etc.) and other correspondence ¦ Organize effective collaborations and work groups ¦ Set relevant, necessary, and achievable goals ¦ Learn quickly, assess needs and opportunities, and take initiative to meet program goals ¦ Identify and effectively address critical issues in a timely fashion and follow projects through to completion.

 

Experience Required
¦ International and national schemas for refugee protection and assistance ¦ Presiding equal and meaningful access provisions and corresponding requirements under the law ¦ National, socio-cultural, and linguistic differences among client populations ¦ Delivery of human services, programs, and systems. ¦ Contemporary public service programs and delivery systems ¦ Community networks and available community resources ¦ HIPAA and other statutes and regulations concerning the privacy and security of medical information ¦ Knowledge of available social services and resources for refugees.

 

Experience Preferred
