AICA Orthopedics seeks a skilled Case Settlement Negotiator to secure optimal settlements for personal injury cases. You'll employ proven law firm negotiation tactics to maximize recovery while maintaining positive relationships with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.

Core Responsibilities

Settlement Negotiations

• Conduct direct settlement negotiations with insurance adjusters and defense counsel
• Develop case-specific negotiation strategies based on liability, damages, and coverage analysis
• Present comprehensive settlement demands with supporting documentation
• Manage multi-party negotiations involving multiple carriers and defendants

Case Analysis & Valuation

• Evaluate settlement value using industry-standard personal injury valuation methods
• Assess litigation risks, coverage limits, and optimal timing for settlement discussions
• Establish settlement ranges and negotiation parameters for assigned cases
• Review medical records, damages, and comparative settlements to support negotiations

Documentation & Processing

• Prepare settlement agreements, releases, and compliance documentation
• Coordinate settlement payments, lien resolution, and fund distribution
• Maintain detailed negotiation records and case progression tracking
• Ensure all settlements meet regulatory and organizational requirements

Client Communication

• Counsel clients on settlement offers and negotiation strategies
• Obtain proper authorization for settlement acceptance and terms
• Manage client expectations regarding settlement values and timelines
• Conduct settlement conferences and final documentation meetings

Performance Targets

• Maintain 85%+ settlement rate within established timeframes
• Achieve settlement values at 95%+ of case valuation targets
• Manage active portfolio of 50-75 cases simultaneously

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years personal injury settlement negotiation experience
• Proven track record with insurance company negotiations
• Experience preparing settlement agreements and legal documentation
• Understanding of insurance coverage, policy limits, and claims procedures
• Proficiency with case management software and legal research tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certification or legal education
• Healthcare/medical malpractice experience
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid lien resolution
• Experience with structured settlements and mediation
