The Job at a Glance

The Cash Application Specialist (internally known as a Cash Matchmaker) consists of posting customer payments accurately and in a timely manner.  This position includes but is not limited to working with checks, credit cards, and electronics funds transfers.  This role also requires account reconciliations, account research and the ability to establish strong relationships with customers.  The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, familiarity with accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A passion for delighting both internal and external customers is crucial to the success of this role!

A Typical Day

• Processing various forms of payments from customers including (but not limited to) checks, ACH, Credit Cards and PayPal
• Utilize our electronic systems for payment review and processing
• Account reconciliations as needed to ensure the accounting records of Parts Town and our customers are aligned.
• Work closely with team members and customers to resolve payment remittance issues.
• Facilitate customer refunds as requested
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to Cash App

To Land This Opportunity

• You have 2+ years of cash application experience
• You can effectively communicate and collaborate with different segments across the business
• You pay close attention to detail (as far as you’re concerned, anything worth doing should be done right)
• You possess MS Office proficiency, especially Excel LOOKUP functions and PivotTables (bonus points if you have experience with ERP systems)
• You have outstanding time management skills and can handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• You function effectively both independently and as a member of a team
• You’re self-motivated, with a proven ability to learn quickly and adapt in an evolving work environment
• You have a quality, high speed internet connection at home
• You have fantastic communication skills & you’re proficient in English (verbal and written)

The salary range for this role is $38,164.41 – $51,504.69 annually ($18.35 – $24.76 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
