Position Title: Cash Operations Supervisor

Department: Cash Operations

Reports To: Cash Operations Manager

FLSA Designation: Non-exempt

SUMMARY: The Cash Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting management with the daily operational duties of the Cash Operations Department for all PTDC Casinos.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Held accountable to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Ensures the integrity of all financial and customer data produced by Cash Operations Associates.
  • Responsible for counting cash operations associates in and out.
  • Ensures protection of casino assets.
  • Maintains consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Maintains adequate scheduling and staffing levels in the Cash Operations department for all PTDC Casinos.
  • Trains, evaluates, and assists with career development.
  • Supervises, motivates, oversees, and observes employees in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Monitors performance of employees and issues corrective action when required.
  • Provides friendly and helpful customer service at a high level that is sufficient and satisfactory.
  • Maintains supplies for department operations.
  • Responsible for reporting any suspicious activity by customers and/or co-workers to the authorized personnel.
  • Prepares paperwork for shortages, if necessary, compiles, verifies, and/or prepares information and reports related to job duties and requirements, researches and documents discrepancies associated with end of shift paperwork.
  • Responsible for knowing cash operations areas, including cage and vault and provides necessary training to team members.
  • Verifies amounts deposited to bank accounts.
  • Oversees balancing of money for the Count Team and checks for discrepancies.
  • Ensures adequate levels of cash are kept on hand to meet the need of the operation.
  • Complies with company policies as well as state and tribal laws regulations, including MICS, TICS, Title 31 and any other TGRA approved controls.
  • Performs other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, physical stamina, and/or ability required. Reasonable

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general educational degree (GED) and at least two (2) years general office work, cash-handling, banking and/or training required. Basic computer skills to include a working knowledge of word processing and databases required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Key Gaming License

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees, patrons, management, and directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to maintain drop and cash confidentiality. Must maintain professional behavior and possess exceptional customer and employee service skills at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is almost continuously required to sit, bend, stand, move and talk or hear. Frequently stands. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and continuously repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times as in typing. The employee will frequently interact with other staff members. Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, such as cash boxes or boxes of paper.
