Accounts Receivable Cash Posting Clerk

Position Summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is looking to fill the role of Accounts Receivable Cash Posting Clerk and play a key role in our growing Finance & Accounting team. This fast-paced position offers the opportunity to learn and develop within the company. You will be responsible for posting all cash payments and addressing any cash payment issues with the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of cash application processes and possess the ability to effectively manage payment issues. This role will interact with various levels of the organization, including senior management. Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Posting all cash payments into MAS for all of our different companies.
• Addressing all payment issues and/or customer concerns with the Operations Manager.
• Contact the customers directly to resolve cash posting issues to ensure all payments will be applied to the correct invoices.
• Researching and reporting information back to those that have cash posting questions and/or other AR concerns
• Preparing spreadsheets with all cash posting disputes for the Operations Manager
• Keep a daily and weekly records of any unapplied payments, to help identify any potential customer issues.
• To make sure all cash posting is recorded in the proper month to ensure that all payments have been posted & applied before the month is closed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree (in Accounting or Finance) PREFERRED
• At least 5 years of Accounts Receivable and/or Cash Application/Posting experience
• Transportation and Logistics experience PREFERRED
• Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) REQUIRED
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Excellent time-management, written and verbal skills
• Strong attention to detail

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
• Occasionally required to stand and walk
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Some local travel required

Compensation

The Cash Posting Clerk position offers an appealing compensation package, with a competitive hourly range of $18.00 to $22.00 (DOE). In addition to the financial components, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with employer matching, generous paid time off, and life insurance coverage.
