Cash Securities Cross Functional Control & Projects - VP - Hybrid

Members of the Cross Function Control & Projects team aspire to create an environment that fosters cross functional collaboration and continuous improvement to create solutions that will enhance the client service experience and support a robust risk and control infrastructure while ensuring global alignment across Markets Operations.

This Cross Function Control & Projects role will support transformation efforts for Securities Settlements Operations Fixed Income and Equities across various trading desks and depositories.  Candidates should have a proven settlement/operations background, predominantly within international investment banking.  The position will act in a subject matter expert capacity to support efforts for our Consent Order deliverables.  The candidate will need to work closely with the Market Operations Transformation Program Management Office (PMO) team and technology partners to provide requirements and test technology solutions. The candidate will be expected to lead calls and support numerous operations managers in the support of complex, critical and large-scaled projects to support the business, strategic initiatives, and industry changes.

Responsibilities:

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.
• Work closely with the Change Management team to review strategic opportunities for innovative solutions to help re-engineer processes, build scale and mitigate risk.
• Identify & work with stakeholders and key organizations to ensure program & project scope definition meets business objectives build and maintain relationships with each.
• Communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
• Escalate program risks to the Markets Ops transformation lead and other senior management as appropriate.
• Work with line SMEs to provide solutions to eliminate inefficiencies in daily tasks and processes.
• Provide support and coordination to work with the program and project management team to manage Securities Settlements Book of Work.
• Continued engagement and discourse with our business, technology and operations partners.
• Support the development of an effective control framework that fully meets Audit, Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
• Provides leadership and guidance when reviewing business or industry initiatives and ensuring successful implementation, and sound controls are in place.
• Demonstrates an advanced level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams.
• Utilizes strong communication, interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity

Qualifications:

• BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience (5+ years of Markets Operations experience)
• Ability to work in a structured, high volume, time sensitive, high risk and demanding environment.
• Good analytical skills and positive attitude
• Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
• Strong risk management and control mindset
• Able to provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations, draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.
• Self-reliant, good problem solver results oriented.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
