Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Register Attendant to join our team at Pat & Gary's II. The Register Attendant will be responsible for operating the cash register, handling transactions accurately and efficiently, and providing exceptional customer service to all patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Scan items, collect payments, and issue receipts to customers.
- Ensure correct pricing and display of items.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about products and promotions.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
- Monitoring and counting bottle returns, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Checking for damaged or expired goods and removing them from shelves.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service.
- Complete training on the POS system and propane filling.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the store.
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures.
- And all other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service position preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude towards customer service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (approx. 6-8hrs) and lift/move items weighing up to 50lbs.
