Cashier

Position Summary

Accountable for overall success of the daily Food & Beverage operations through assistance and support to the management team. Ability to precisely follow set standards of service to ensure a natural but professional image of the property is portrayed at all times. Performs well under pressure in a unique and fast paced environment. Is flexible and able to adjust quickly to the immediate needs of the operation or as directed. Works to continually improve the guest and employee experience through personal and professional contributions. Must ensure sanitation and food safety standards are achieved.  

Responsibilities

• Accurately record transactions in the POS system at time of order as required
• Accurately and efficiently process payment transactions including cash credit and debit cards.  
• Knowledgeably and confidently answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients and beverages.  
• Openly and professionally communicate with the kitchen regarding menu items, availability of food items, delays in service and guest service comments or concerns.  
• Openly and professionally communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen as quickly as they are learned.  
• Monitor guests and check as required to ensure satisfaction with the food and beverage offerings of the meal period.  
• Guest table and buffet stations are to impeccably maintained at all times.  
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, disposables etc., at all times.  
• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned accurately and efficiently, including cleaning, restocking and preparation for the next meal period. 
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications as required. 
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team to reach common goals.  
• Speak with others using clear professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.  
• Interact with guests naturally and professionally, address guest concerns as they are learned if able, or immediately direct to a manager that will resolve the problem. 
• Uniform and personal appearance are to be both clean and professional at all times; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. 
• Make deliveries to different areas of the SR and SSR campuses.

Education / Experience: Previous cashier experience recommended

Required Skills / Competencies: Ability to use Clover POS and smartonline ordering platforms. Basic computer skills. Excel helpful
