Cashier

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, friendly, and reliable Cashier to join our team at our high-traffic Mediterranean fast food restaurant located in the mall. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers exceptional customer service, and ensures accurate and efficient handling of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, welcoming attitude and provide prompt, friendly service.
   
• Accurately process customer orders through the POS system, including cash, credit card, and mobile payments.
   
• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and promotions, ensuring guests feel confident in their selections.
   
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked counter area.
   
• Collaborate with team members to ensure fast order fulfillment during peak mall hours.
   
• Handle customer concerns or complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
   
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
   
• Assist with packaging, bagging, and handing off orders efficiently.
   
• Support the overall operations of the restaurant, jumping in to help with prep, stocking, or dining area upkeep as needed.
   

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, retail, or food service experience preferred, but not required.  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a high-volume environment.  
• Comfortable with basic math and POS systems.  
• Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (mall peak hours).  
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction.  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.  
• Comfortable with repetitive motions, including reaching, bending, and handling transactions.  
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
