Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide them with a friendly and efficient checkout experience
- Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Scan and bag customer purchases with care and attention to detail
- Maintain accurate cash drawer and balance transactions at the end of each shift
- Assist customers with product inquiries and locate items within the store
- Ensure that the checkout area is clean, tidy, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role
- Excellent mathematical skills and the ability to make accurate calculations quickly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all transactions
