You will begin training as a basic cashier and hopefully work your way up to being a sales representative.

Cashier Responsibilities:

Receiving the products that a customer buys from one of your coworkers. The order will then need to be double checked that everything in that order is correct. Then collect payment (cash, credit card, check or on account - 30 Day terms) and bill them accordingly.

We will train you on how to use the computer system and how to make the flow of the order go as quickly and as efficiently as possible. (A floor manager will always be there for you if you have any questions). You will be in charge of your own computer, printer, drawer, and money pouch. The same amount of money is giving to you each morning and must be returned at the end of the day.

Sales Representative Responsibilities (optional/based on quality of cashiering):

Customers will come in through the front door and wait until a sales person calls them to be helped. You will then use our catalogs along with samples of products to figure out what they need.

Once you find what they need, you will use the Ross Metals Computer Program to start to build their order, check stock or check prices. After the order is finished, you will double check everything is perfect and then "send" the order (pressing F10) to the vault, who will then pull the merchandise and give it to the cashiers!
