The Position: 

Oversees the Purchasing Department in fulfilling the needs of the company by ensuring proper flow of commodities, accuracy of ordering, order fulfillment, billing, accounting and warehouse requisitioning. Provides the company with training and communication regarding Purchasing Department policies, procedures and software usage. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs the bidding, purchasing, receiving, and storage of supplies for the property.
• Confirms that all departments follow proper purchasing and requisitions guidelines.
• Researches suppliers and costs for all departmental needs. Negotiates contracts and agreements beneficial and cost effective for the property.
• Ensures quality service, and best available price on goods and services in an ethical manner without compromising quality.
• Researches new trends or advances in product lines to make appropriate buying decisions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
• 3 years of purchasing experience in either a large supply company or a Purchasing Department in a similar size company required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• 3 years clerical experience requiered. Typing at least 40WPM. 10-key by touch.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and proficient in Navision.
• Reading comprehension and analytical/mathematics skills essential.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks at once.
• Must be able to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
• Must be 21 year of age or older.
• Current and valid Oregon Driver’s License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC Drivers Program.
