The Cage & BConnected Cashier is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers. Work requires superior communication and judgmental skills. The incumbent is also responsible for performing varied cashier functions in a pleasant, efficient, and honest manner. The position includes standing for long periods of time and you must be dependable!

Pay starts at $16.00/hr and you'll work on a tip pool which averages ~$2.00 per hour additional. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, 401(k) with company match, and a range of supplemental insurance options after 90 days of employment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cashes checks, money orders, cashier checks, coins, or chips for customers and employees.
  • Handles large amounts of money, accounting for total funds received throughout the day and at the end of each day.
  • Issues BConnected cards and maintains member database, updating guest records, effectively explaining guest mail, re-issuing lost coupons, and cashing direct mail offers.
  • Effectively explains loyalty program structure and how to qualify for different levels of complimentary services and/or goods.
  • Greets BConnected guests in a courteous and friendly manner and explains amenities and features. 
  • Resolves customer service issues, concerns, or problems to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers.
  • Works closely with Executive and VIP Hosts to ensure superior guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all assigned tasks within a shift are completed as required and that all items are balanced at the close of business.
  • Attend to guests needs to keep guest satisfaction to its highest degree.
  • Responsible for the assets and funds entrusted to the individual for the shift. The cashier performs even exchanges of cash, encasement of checks, exchanges of receipts for cash or chips/tokens, and the receipt of revenues.
  • Responsible for the confidentiality of company records.
  • Safeguard the assets of the company.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis)

  • Legible handwriting
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Basic computer skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
  • Must be 21 years of age

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, outside contacts, and all levels of employees.
  • Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates.
  • Ability to use computer, keyboard, and similar equipment.
  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds, and noise, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.

Knowledge of:

  • Understanding of property and department policies and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of player-tracking system(s) and comprehension of actual and theoretical player value.

Ability to:

  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position including player-tracking system, computer keyboard, and telephone.
  • Ability to review and comprehend player tracking screens, reports, and all other necessary information and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees.
  • Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates.
  • Ability to move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to balance bank at end of shift
  • Ability to identify and accurately cash different denominations of cash currency, checks, direct mail offers, etc.
