Casting - Manufacturing - 2nd Shift

Introduction:  

As a Caster at Central Moloney, you play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by operating casting equipment to create metal components. Your expertise in casting processes and attention to detail will contribute to the production of high-quality transformer components. Your responsibilities include: 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Operate casting equipment to produce metal components according to specifications. 

• Set up and adjust casting machines for optimal performance. 

• Monitor and control the casting process to ensure quality and consistency. 

• Inspect finished products for defects and deviations from specifications. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with casting equipment. 

• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times. 

• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals. 

• Perform routine maintenance on casting machines as needed. 

• Record and maintain production data and quality records. 

Additional Skills/Requirements:  

• Proven experience as a Caster or in a similar role in a manufacturing setting. 

• Knowledge of casting processes and equipment. 

• Ability to interpret casting specifications and work instructions. 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control. 

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

• Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing and lifting.

Physical and Environmental Requirements  

• Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.  

• Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.  

• Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.  

• PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.  

• Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).  

• Stamina: Stand for long shifts.  

• Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.  

• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
