Cat B Operator

Summary

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time updates and feedback to the Upstairs Operator on cured catenary cable conditions to support production accuracy


• Operate safely at all times, strictly following all safety rules, plant policies, and safe work practices


• Produce high-quality cable by following established work instructions, SOPs, One-Point Lessons, and training guidelines


• Maintain compliance with AmerCable 5S standards and contribute to workplace organization and efficiency


• Support ongoing ISO9001 standards and quality systems


• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth production processes


• Follow direction from supervisors and perform additional duties as required


• Consistently adhere to AmerCable’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required


• Associate degree, WAGE certification, or relevant manufacturing experience preferred


• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment


• Physically capable of moving materials and performing manual tasks


• Ability to successfully complete a lift truck operator safety course


• Strong reading comprehension and basic math skills


• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability


• Comfortable using workstation computers for production tasks


• Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
