Category Manager - Critical Power Infrastructure Commodities

We’re seeking mid- to senior-level Category Managers to lead sourcing strategies for critical infrastructure commodities—including electrical components, wire & cable, steel structures, transformers, and more—used across utility-scale energy and decarbonization projects.

What You’ll Do:

As a Category Manager at QISG, you will:

• Own and execute category strategies aligned with project demand, technical requirements, and corporate sustainability goals.
• Lead key supplier relationships and negotiations for materials vital to transmission, distribution, and electrification infrastructure.
• Partner with internal teams on S&OP alignment, inventory allocation, and forecasting to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
• Onboard and qualify new suppliers, assess risks, and build a resilient, innovative supply base.
• Use data and market insight to drive continuous improvement and long-term sourcing success.

What You Bring:

You bring a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and 7+ years of sourcing or category management experience—ideally in energy, EPC, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure. You’re a strong communicator and negotiator who thrives in cross-functional environments—and you prefer leading without managing.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in commodity sourcing (electrical, steel, or industrial materials)
• Expert-level negotiation and supplier performance management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, or Electrical Engineering
• (APICS/CSPM preferred)
• Proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision-making
• Strong understanding of sourcing strategy, contracts, and supplier risk management

Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 based on experience and seniority.
