At Mintahoe Catering & Events, we are dedicated to providing high-quality catering services and delicious meals for employees and events. We are seeking a Catering Chef to join our dynamic team. If you have a commitment to quality food and service while being a strong team member, we want to hear from you!  As our Catering Chef, you will be responsible for food preparation and presentation for our daily events and office catering and also assisting at various stations within our café. You will work closely with, and under the direction of, our Executive Chef to ensure that all food served meets our high standards of quality, presentation and service. This role requires experience, a willingness to assist where needed and the ability to manage multiple catering orders simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with the planning and creation of appealing menus for office café and catered events.

- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals that meet our guests' and clients' needs.

- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to coordinate large events and always ensure timely delivery and setup.

- Coordinate with the Executive Chef for the staffing of catering food preparation and deliveries.

- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.

- Work closely with clients to understand their culinary preferences and dietary restrictions.

- Stay current with food trends and incorporate them into menu offerings.

- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.

Qualifications:

- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.

- Minimum 5 years experience kitchen management and banquet catering.

- Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a catering setting.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- A friendly and outgoing personality.

- Certification in food safety and sanitation is a plus.
