Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role is essential to supporting our chef in preparing, assembling, and packaging menu items while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Help assemble catering boxes, grazing boards, and platters with precision and care
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing work areas
• Follow food safety and handling guidelines at all times
• Support chef and catering leads with event prep and pack-out
• Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies
• Occasionally assist with loading/unloading deliveries and event setups as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering, restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not required. We can train!
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  Positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation to and from the kitchen (San Francisco)
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time, with potential for increased hours during peak event seasons
• Flexible scheduling
• Compensation: $20-25/hour, depending on experience
