Catering Manager

Qualifications

• Catering management experience strongly preferred


• 2 years of food service experience including 1 year at the management level strongly preferred


• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations


• Excellent Guest Service skills a must


• TIPS certification required


• Serve Safe certification encouraged

Responsibilities

• Summary: As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Catering Department in all duties including working closely with the chef and banquet manager, overseeing event set-ups, menu selection, working with meeting room assignments and coordinating sleeping room blocks


• You will ensure proper service to clients during events, including proper set-up, overall coordination throughout the event including notification of other department managers regarding ongoing changes, additions, etc.


• Supervises all catering events


• Booking, scheduling and re-booking catering events both on-site and off of hotel property


• Ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the entire process is critical
