POSITION: DFW Catering Manager of Event Operations

Salary: $23-$25 Hourly + Event Gratuity

Full -Time

SUMMARY: THE SPRINGS CATERING division is seeking an experienced individual in the DFW area to work with the Head Chef in a high-volume catering operation.  For an ambitious individual with the right qualities the opportunity for growth is significant .  The success of this Catering Manager will hinge upon their dependable character, communication skills and “hustler” mentality required for this position.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for an energetic, banquet professional who desires to get in on the ground floor with a start-up catering business and who can grow alongside our company's  aggressive expansion model. A 2500 sq ft newly renovated, catering kitchen and numerous opportunities await you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but not limited to)

1. Reports to and works alongside Head Chef


2. Heavy focus on Front of house and customer facing


3. Concentration on client communication prior to event and event days


4. Assists in the planning of regular and modified menus according to customer requests and established guidelines
   


5. Helps to maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies.


6. Maintains clean and safe working environment in all storage and work areas.


7. Complies with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.


8. Participates and attends departmental meetings and training as appropriate.


9. Upholds high standards of product and customer service for self & team members.


10. Maintains professional relationships with Clients, associates & vendors.


11. Follows facility, department and Company safety policies and procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

1. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience of Catering/Banquet front of house experience


2. Customer Service and communication skills required


3. Punctual and dependable


4. Time management skills


5. Extraordinary organizational skills


6. Willingness to learn and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.


7. Ambitious and hard working: “Hustler”

   8.  * Event set up skills and experience

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:                                        

1. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience / 2-5 years a Plus


2. Good computer skills/experience in Excel a Plus


3. **Experience or knowledge of transporting procedures a plus

COMPENSATION:

Hourly Range: $23-$25 + Event Gratuity

Head Chef and VP of Catering Operations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
