Catering Sales

Slows Bar BQ is seeking an experienced Catering Sales And Events Manager. This position is primarily a sales position, but will also be involved in managing events and training event staff. Sales will involve fielding both inbound inquiries, as well as reaching out to local venues and businesses. Desired strengths for this position include professional writing skills, exemplary phone etiquette, detailed planning, and a strong drive to build sales.

Event execution will include staffed food service, off site vending, festivals, and delivery. The Catering Sales And Events Manager will be responsible for ensuring all events are staffed appropriately, and will help manage operations. This will involve continuously training and developing staff members to support increasing sales volume.

Responsible include but not limited to:

• Oversee all aspects of the catering department, including staffing, menu planning, event coordination, and customer service
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful events
• Plan and execute catering events, including weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings
• Hire, train, and manage all catering staff
• Ensure all food and beverage offerings are of the highest quality and meet customer expectations
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to grow the catering business
• Ensure all catering events are in compliance with local health and safety regulations

The qualifications for this position are:

• 1+ years catering experience preferred
• Proven sales building track record in prior roles
• High degree of initiative
• Caterease or Delphi experience preferred
• College degree preferred
• 2+ years of food and bev management experience
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
