Catering Sales Manager – Pickleman’s Gourmet Café Parkwood Plano

Reports To: Owners & General Manager
Pay: 15-$18 per hour plus commission earning approximately $30k to $70k+ per year

About Us
Pickleman’s Gourmet Café is a fast‑growing, fast‑casual concept known for toasted sandwiches, thin‑crust pizzas, artisan soups, mac and cheese, and fresh salads. We’re expanding our catering program and looking for a motivated, organized, customer‑focused Catering Manager to help us deliver exceptional experiences to local businesses, schools, offices, and community organizations.
Position Overview
The Catering Manager oversees all catering operations, including order intake, production planning, packaging, delivery coordination, and client communication. This role is responsible for ensuring catering orders are accurate, timely, profitable, and consistently excellent. You’ll work closely with the owners, general manager, and store leadership to grow catering revenue and strengthen community partnerships.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect new accounts, manage existing ones, follow up on quotes, drive repeat orders.
- Build the account list which includes offices, schools, churches, medical practices, dealerships, and apartment complexes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for catering clients and provide warm and professional communication.
- Plan and work community events — school spirit days, teacher appreciation, sports team partnerships.
- Be an ambassador at local networking opportunities such as chamber events and community events and functions.
- Manage catering orders from start to finish — intake, planning, production, packaging, and delivery.
- Ensure accurate portioning, labeling, presentation, and quality of all menu items.
- Handle client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with general manager, staff and shift leaders to maintain smooth operations during large orders.
- Recommend add‑ons and upsells to increase average order value.
- Track and review catering performance, repeat clients, and revenue trends.
- Assist with inventory checks and ensure adequate stock for upcoming catering events.
- Protect food cost, portion control, and labor efficiency during catering production.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of catering, or fast casual dining, food service, event or banquet planning experience preferred.
- Achieve a weekly direct catering revenue goal starting at $5k/week and build to at least $10k/week.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, customer service skills, professionalism, and is calm under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stay calm under pressure.
- Comfortable with outreach, sales conversations, and building client relationships.
- Team‑oriented mindset with leadership capability.
