Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for cardiac care? Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cath Lab RN to join our dynamic nursing team. In this role, you'll play an essential part in providing safe, high-quality care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care.
• Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Provide leadership and collaborate effectively with physicians, technicians, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge planning.
• Ensure accurate documentation, including procedure records, billing, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and risk-free environment while following hospital policies and safety protocols.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote excellent patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• License: Active RN license in the state of Iowa (or multistate license with Iowa eligibility).
• Certifications:
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Required
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter Training Child & Dependent Adult Abuse
• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in ICU, ER, or critical care preferred.
• Previous Cath Lab nursing experience strongly preferred.
