We are conducting a search for an experienced Cath Lab RN Director to join a respected acute care hospital in Arizona. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity for a dynamic nurse leader with a background in cardiovascular services who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
About the Opportunity: This position reports directly to senior leadership and is responsible for the strategic, clinical, and operational oversight of Cardiovascular Services, including the Cath Lab (3 procedure rooms), EKG, Echocardiography, and a dedicated cardiac observation unit. The team performs approximately 45 procedures weekly, with no current EP or IR services. The Director will lead initiatives focused on clinical quality, patient safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the daily operations of Cardiovascular Services departments with a focus on quality patient care and team effectiveness
Develop and enforce department policies, workflows, and regulatory standards to ensure high operational performance
Oversee fiscal responsibilities, including budgeting, supply chain management, charge master maintenance, and billing accuracy
Ensure staff education, competency validation, and ongoing professional development
Monitor medication safety, adherence to clinical protocols, and timely resolution of adverse events
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve operational barriers and drive patient-centered outcomes
Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with evidence-based practice and clinical best practices
Maintain readiness for all applicable state, federal, and accreditation audits or inspections
Foster a culture of excellence, safety, and accountability across all service lines
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license (Arizona or compact state)
Extensive clinical background in Cath Lab Nursing
Minimum of 3 years of recent Director-level experience leading a Cath Lab
Proven knowledge of cardiovascular clinical practices, regulatory standards, and operational leadership
Strong financial management skills including budgeting, analysis, and reporting
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
