Cath Lab Tech

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment within a Level II trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the catheterization lab for procedures, ensuring all equipment is functional and sterile.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, including angiograms and stent placements.
• Monitor patients' vital signs throughout procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during invasive procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assist in the interpretation of radiology images related to cardiac conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, including patient data and equipment used.
• Stay updated on advancements in cardiology practices and technologies.

Requirements

Years of Experience: 2 year(s)

Certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, CCI RCIS*, Fluoro Permit, RCIS acceptable w/5+ years exp

Charting System: Epic

Skills

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to cardiology.
• Proficient in monitoring vital signs and understanding emergency medicine protocols.
• Familiarity with medical terminology specific to cardiology and radiology.
• Experience with diagnostic evaluation techniques within a cath lab setting.
• Ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively during procedures.
• Knowledge of working in a Level II trauma center is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patients.

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)
