Cath Lab Technician

Primarily day shift with SOME late night (evenings) and on call dependent on unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the cardiac catheterization laboratory and specialized equipment before procedures
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures such as angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placement
• Operate imaging and monitoring equipment to visualize blood vessels and heart function
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac rhythms during procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with catheter insertion and equipment handling
• Administer contrast agents and medications under physician supervision when required
• Document procedure details and patient responses
• Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of cath lab equipment
• Provide post-procedure patient care and monitoring
