Job Duties & Responsibilities

·       Plan and perform installation, testing, operation, inspection and maintenance of cathodic protection systems and other corrosion control systems under supervision of senior personnel.

·       Gather structure-to-soil potential data (conduct field test for structure potential, soil resistivity and current requirements).

·       Conduct interference testing and coordinate bonding with clients and affected companies.

·       Conduct post- installation surveys, complete interference testing and energize/adjust systems.

·       Troubleshoot CP systems using various types of test instruments

·       Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables.

·       Prepare detailed and accurate written reports including service recommendations.

·       Sketch rectifier, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings.

·       Read and accurately interpret technical specifications, drawings, schematics or other design documents.

Requirements

Required Qualification(s) & Experience

·        Legally authorized to work in the US

·        High School Diploma or GED equivalent

·        Valid Drivers License and reliable personal vehicle

·        AMPP Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) Certification, or higher

·         A minimum of 2 years’ experience in corrosion control

·        Ability to work outside under harsh weather conditions

Preferred Additional Qualifications

·        Associate degree or higher in Corrosion Technology or related field

·        Cathodic Protection Technician (CP2) Certification

·        AMPP Internal Corrosion Level I

·        Experience with Cathodic Protection Data Management systems, such as PCS, CPDM or others.
