The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a CBS Case Manager Supervisor.  This position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of all Community Based Services in Leavenworth County. This includes direct supervision of Case Management, Attendant Care and Parent Support staff.  A full working knowledge of the State of Kansas’s requirements for CBS services, including SED waiver services, as required.

Responsibilities

 

1. Provide direct orientation, training and supervision of case managers and attendants in assigned location

2. Provide intake assessments, treatment planning and outpatient therapy to select clients

3. Provide case management services to assigned case management clients when necessary

4. Provide interim case management services in cases of emergency or absence of assigned case managers.

5. Serve as the QMHP for non-therapy clients in his/her responsible county for treatment plans and Plans of Care.

6. Provide direct oversight of SED waiver processes in his/her assigned county to ensure that each Waiver applicant’s process moves smoothly. This will include initiation and follow up on initial waiver application steps (ie: Clinical Eligibility, Family Choice Document, 3160, Notice of Action, CAFAS, and Annual Reviews etc.), coordination of TCM activities with parents in application/maintenance process, assurance that no

waiver services are provided outside of an approved waiver, close coordination with TGC’s Waiver data coordinator to assure that application processes are completed and that youth no longer receiving waiver services are termed from waiver .

7. Provide Wraparound Facilitation services as needed.

8. Provide daytime crisis services in assigned county when needed

9. Work additional hours when needed to complete required work.

10. Provide after-hours/weekend crisis and screening services on rotating basis with other clinicians

Requirements

 

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Required: Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LMSW, LMLP, LCP, LMFT, LCMFT, LPC, LCPC, or LSCSW by the first day of employment.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: one-year post-masters clinical experience in a mental health setting, and minimum one year experience in program management and supervision of staff. Preferred: experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices, and prior experience as a case manager for SPMI adults and/or SED youth.
