Job Description - CCHIP Program Director
JOB SUMMARY:
The CCHIP Program Director is responsible for general oversight of the HIV/AIDS funded projects. The Programs Director participates in the preparation of proposals as well as ensuring the timely submission of all reports related to the projects. The Program Director will be responsible for procurement of funds for the programs as well as the management of all funds related to the projects, inclusive of CORE/SSHARC/Austin/Provident, to ensure that the program goals and objectives are achieved. This position will facilitate integration of the projects with existing services while maintaining a positive working relationship with the leadership of the CORE Center as well as each of the other service providers.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Collaborates with program staff and providers to develop and submit grant applications.
Ensure that the objectives of proposal are consistent with the established goals and objectives of the organization.
Communicates objectives to all appropriate department heads to assure understanding of and compliance to objectives.
Develops system to monitor ongoing progress towards meeting the objectives. Communicate progress to those involved and to the Executive Director.
Works with program staff to prepare grantor reports that are complete, accurate and Works with program staff to prepare for and participate in all required site visits.
Assist in establishing QA policy/procedures.
Prepares budgets and monitors expenses for all services grants. Maintains systems to effectively allocate resources for the best interest of the organization.
Adheres to project budget and anticipate budget overages/deficiencies.
Monitors and informs the Executive Leadership Team of available and potential federal, state, local and private resources appropriate to the achievement of programmatic objectives.
Monitors service utilization and maintains system to track and report to program staff as well as leadership
Prepares statistical reports related to the projects and assure data accuracy.
Participates in and provides, where appropriate, multidisciplinary case conferences, orientations, and continuing education programs and staff meetings.
Facilitates preparations for all annual site visits by regulatory and funder
Liaison to City State and Federal agencies and advocacy groups including regular participation with planning council, service planning council as well as regional planning council.
Maintain ongoing contact with federal and state project officers regarding programmatic needs and funding opportunities.
Serves on committees, both internal and outside of the CORE Communicates and furthers the goals and objectives of the Center.
QUALIFICATIONS – Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Master’s degree in Public Health, Human Services and Health Services or related. Greater than 5 years of progressive experience including budget preparation, monitoring, and planning and program development experience. A minimum of 3 years’ experience with STD/HIV public policy and programs. Well organized, able to prioritize, results oriented, self-motivated. Successful experience with development of grant proposals. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and prepare reports. Knowledge of personal computers to include word progressing, database, spreadsheets and related software. Ability to communicate effectively, at all levels, both orally and written.
