A.T. Still University's College for Healthy Communities (ATSU-CHC) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Clinical Liaison for the Central Coast Physician Assistant (CCPA) Program in Santa Maria, California. This position provides support for the clinical education component of the CCPA Program.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
Review and respond daily to email requests from supervisors .
Ensure timely clinical team and site communications.
Maintain a positive working relationship with hospitals, clinical sites, and clinical preceptors.
Maintain confidentiality and FERPA Guidelines.
Maintain organized record keeping systems for all duties.
Provide direct support and timely communication to the Director of Clinical Education.
Coordinate meeting schedules and take minutes for assigned committees.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Clinical Education Related Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the Clinical Education Manager in duties as assigned.
Provide administrative support for the Director of Clinical Education and clinical coordinators.
Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and preceptors.
Coordinate with Monitor EDU to proctor student’s end of rotation (EOR) exams near the end of each clinical rotation block.
Schedule PAEA exams for clinical year students (EOR exams and End of Curriculum exam).
Manage student schedules within the clinical management database (EXXAT).
Remain current on EXXAT features and functionality through ongoing professional development and training (e.g. webinars, monthly meetings, etc.)
Assist with student compliance paperwork submission and logging requirements.
Gather preceptor information from FSMB (Federation of State Medical Boards) and other external data sources to validate and gather evidence of current license and board certifications.
Assist with contacting clinical sites to update them on student schedules etc.
Assist with clinical rotation management (schedule, coordinate, and verify available number of clinical slots).
Assist with clinical year student schedules (maintaining the schedule spreadsheet to ensure it remains up to date).
Track and monitor preceptor availability and rotation confirmation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school plus one year of technical training or schooling required.
Experience in business or academic office setting.
Experience interacting with internal and community affiliates.
Experience with clinical education a plus.
Ability to interact with administration, faculty, staff, students and general public in a professional manner.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet necessary deadlines.
Experience in business or academic office setting.

Ability to follow and share information regarding university policy and procedures.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to efficiently manage multiple detail-oriented projects and task simultaneously.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and medical terms.

Possess advanced knowledge and skills utilizing computers including internet functions.
Proficiency with basic computer operations including word-processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, and publications.
The hourly range for this position is 24.27 to 30.34 based on education and experience.
