CCS Secondary Teacher

Crosspoint Christian School is seeking a Secondary Teacher who is a committed follower of Jesus and passionate about guiding students through a critical season of academic, personal, and spiritual growth. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, structured classroom that challenges students to think critically, grow in independence, and develop a strong foundation for their future.

As a member of the Gateway OneTeam, you will support and demonstrate an understanding of the church’s mission: Presenting Hope and Developing People. Possessing a character that reflects biblical godliness, demonstrating a meaningful personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and active involvement in a local body of Christian believers are key qualifications. 

Job Status: Full-time, 9-11 months

Exempt Status: Exempt 

Salary Range: $36,000-$58,569/annually

Work Location: Bremerton Campus

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

• Provide rigorous, engaging instruction in assigned subject area(s), fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and academic growth.
• Create a structured, respectful classroom environment that promotes student ownership, accountability, and a positive learning culture.
• Support the development of the “whole student” through intentional relationships and mentorship.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and support students at varying levels of readiness.
• Prepare students for future success by building strong study habits, communication skills, and personal responsibility.
• Partner with families through clear, consistent communication regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
• Integrate faith meaningfully into instruction and classroom culture, modeling Christ-centered character and guiding students in biblical truth.
• Contribute to a strong secondary culture, including involvement in school events, collaboration with colleagues, and student life.

  EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in the subject area or related field required
• Valid teaching certificate required
• Experience teaching in a secondary setting (middle or high school) preferred
