The Global Engineering department is looking for an Energy & Carbon Technologies Manager. The position is based in France.
Danone Global Engineering which missions are to:
• Bring Project methodology & technical support to Capex investment and due diligence on a worldwide scale,
• Work on technological innovation projects together with R&D and suppliers
• Knowledge & expertise management: co-develop and co-deploy WWBU Standards together with CBUs/regions/Suppliers, with a continuous improvement roadmap,
Within the latter, we are looking for an

Energy & carbon technologies Manager

to support the industrial strategy.

Great opportunity to work in an international environment, within the scope XCategory: Dairy & Plant Based, Waters and Specialized Nutrition. This position will allow you to develop your project management skills, utilities technology knowledge and impact the group in setting the Utilities engineering standards for all factories.
Mission
Design the reliable and highly performing Utilities technological standard solutions for all the factories.
Working hand in hand with Global C&P, Identify and assess the innovative/breakthrough technological solutions on utilities production and usage (process and packaging).
Ensure their implementation in the Danone factories by managing the engineering and manufacturing networks to achieve the Performance and Environmental targets.
Main responsibilities:

Being the reference in Danone in all utility matters, driving the industrial strategy and vision in this area, you will:
• Support the regional and local organizations contributing to Utility aspects of the factory Master plan and Projects preparations, ensuring the deployment of standards and innovative technology in the factories (feasibility studies, CAR preparation, engineering reviews, commissioning).
• Collect knowhow and experience from users and suppliers to improve standard solutions.

• Complete with suppliers the engineering standards on utilities:
o to reduce safety risks in Danone factories
o to achieve excellence in execution and installation’s reliability while improving projects timing and costs
o to increase energy efficiency and manufacturing performance

• Manage the network of engineers in charge of utilities (including utility performance) fostering sharing innovative solutions and improvement plans.

• Contribute to the ReFuel program to reduce the plants’ energy consumptions though technology and methods.

• Manage main suppliers in these domains together with the Global Cycle & Procurement team.

About you

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.
• Engineer by education.
• English is a must.
• French or Spanish speaking ability being a plus, although not mandatory.
• Theoretical and technological knowledge in energy and water treatment.
• Project Management skills and experiences.
• Experienced in suppliers’ management.
• Strong written and verbal skills: network coordination, specifications, acceptance protocols formalization.
• Connected to state-of-the-art technologies.
• Performance improvement and lean manufacturing mindset.
• Open to working in an international context with international exposure.
• Demonstrate leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience in food and beverage industry.
Personal Assets:
Autonomous, analytical and able to communicate clearly (good pedagogical skills)
Proven ability to easily connect with engineering functions at Plants/Regions/Global
Proven ability to make change without imposing views but rather by getting buy in
