CDL A Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of various Wilbert goods septic tanks, caskets, vaults, etc.) using a commercial vehicle. This role involves adhering to all driving regulations, maintaining the vehicle, and ensuring timely delivery of The Wilbert Group products. Requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a professional attitude.

• Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with federal, state, and local driving regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring that all goods are properly secured.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of goods, making adjustments as necessary to avoid delays.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it remains in good working condition. Report any issues or needed repairs promptly to Plant Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies, including hours of service regulations and weight restrictions.
• Maintain professionalism and courtesy while interacting with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
• Read work orders and examine parts to determine the specific sections or components of products to be installed.
• Respond appropriately to any emergencies or incidents on the road, following company protocols.
• Perform other duties, special projects, assignments, or tasks, as assigned by management to support the overall goals and objectives

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, with experience in long-haul or regional routes preferred.
• Boom truck experience to effectively load and unload trucks.

Skills:

• Excellent driving skills; strong understanding of road safety regulations
• Align and assemble parts accurately, utilizing gauges and hand tools
• Good communication skills

• Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Strong commitment to safety

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects; stamina for long hours of driving and handling cargo.
• Work is performed primarily on the road, with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Schedule varies based on delivery schedules, may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Extensive travel may be required, including overnight stays.
