- Empire Recycled Paint Inc. is expanding and is seeking a CDL Class B driver who is estimated to receive 10-30 hours a week during peak seasons (May-November) to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. H (Hazmat) endorsement is required and is needed before starting this position. Labor is required as manual stacking, moving paint bins around and unloading/off-loading of your truck is required. This position also requires customer service as we are a front-facing company that provides excellent communication with our locations and strives to build good relationships with them. Runs are flexible based on the drivers' availability. We are seeking a Monday - Friday Driver / Or Part time driver
Drivers will play a key role in the NY Paint Stewardship Plan that started in 2022. Pickups are located across New York State with a warehouse located in Syracuse, NY.

- Compliance with all NY DOT including physical
- Transport bins of leftover paint from NY retail stores
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Complete routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Lead in loading paint bins with the use of tailgate and pallet jacks
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of similar experience
- Positive, pleasant attitude
- Able to pass DOT physical
- CDL Class B WITH Hazmat endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Be physically fit, to move bins/boxes of paint with the use of pallet jacks
- MUST BE WILLING TO DO SOME PICKUPS IN YONKERS AREAS Twice a Month
Supplemental Pay
26-28 Per Hour With Attendance and Safety Bonus
