CDL Class A Driver

Barker Staffing Solutions LLC is a leading staffing agency providing top-quality staffing solutions to businesses in various industries. We are currently seeking a dedicated CDL Class A Driver for a full-time, permanent position with one of our clients.

Job Description:

As a dedicated CDL Class A Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to and from various locations. You will be driving a commercial motor vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. You will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicle and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport goods and materials to and from designated locations

- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road

- Load and unload goods and materials from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securement

- Inspect the vehicle for any mechanical issues and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

- Communicate with dispatch and other team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods

- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

- Perform routine maintenance on the vehicle, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel

- Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as delivery receipts and logbooks, is completed accurately and on time

- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times

- Home daily drivers must be located within a 50-mile radius of Wilton

- Dedicated Drop and Hook

Requirements:

- Valid CDL Class A license

- Must be at least 22 years old or older

- 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past three years

- Clean driving record with no moving violations within the past 3 years

- No more than one DOT recordable preventable accident in the last three years

- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
