CDL Class A Local Driver

compensation: $70,000 - $80,000/annually + Benefits

We are actively recruiting CDL Class A Local and OTR Drivers for a Fortune 100 organization. This is a great opportunity to join one of the top trucking companies in the United States.

Delivery Driver position responsible for safely and efficiently operating a truck with a capacity of at least 46,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Drivers will be transporting product from the warehouse to various customers and properly unloading the product via ramp and dolly according to customer invoices. Work is medium to heavy in nature. Half the day is spent driving a tractor/trailer unit. Must be able to climb into trailer, lift 50 lb. boxes frequently, lift up to 75 lb. boxes occasionally, and move product on the 2-wheeler. Routes are both local and over the road, and will require night time driving.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Transport and Delivery of products from warehouse to customer(s) in a professional, safe and timely manner, using a multitude of methods including manual lifting, use of two-wheel dolly, and ramps in multi-temperature environments. 
  
• Maintain an adequate level of fuel in the vehicle. Report any equipment discrepancies to the manager for immediate action.
• Ensure all logs are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis according to DOT and center standards.
• Ensure all invoices are turned in daily and any adjustments are completed correctly. Reports all damages and shortages promptly.
• Ensure complete and accurate reporting utilizing onboard XATA computer system.
• Ensure all vehicle equipment maintenance reports are properly verified and completed for all pre-trip / post-trip inspections.

• Valid and current Class A CDL license for interstate commerce.
• Minimum 21 years old
• At least 1 year verifiable Tractor/Trailer experience within the last 5 years
• Multi-Stop delivery and hand-unload experience a plus
• Previous experience in food service distribution
• Must pass pre-employment testing (DOT Drug Screen / Physical and Background Check)
• No DWI/DUI
• Stable work history and strong work ethic
  
• Ability to meet all DOT requirements
• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and lift and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to operate a two-wheel cart up and down a delivery ramp.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required
