CDL Class B Truck Driver-Geneseo, IL

The Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver delivers ready mix concrete to customer job site in both commercial and residential areas. The work schedule will vary. It may be up to 6 days per week of up to 10+ hour days, with overtime on both a voluntary or mandatory basis for work week as well as on Saturdays, depending upon business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate truck in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations.
• Efficiently load and deliver perishable product to customer striving to provide quality and excellent customer service.
• Follow procedures to ensure truck is safe to operate. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of ready mix truck pursuant to DOT regulations. Inspections include checking fluid levels of engine oil, antifreeze, tire pressure, brakes and other driver operated controls for loading and unloading ready mix wash-out systems. Report maintenance as required.
• When not performing driving duties assist with plant maintenance, clean-up, and other duties assigned by supervisor. This may include sweeping, shoveling and other basic maintenance tasks around the plant and yard.
• Operate truck to receive load, evaluate slump and drive to job site. Safely maneuver truck on job site, attach chutes to discharge material, clean truck to minimize concrete buildup.
• Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Keep inside and outside of truck clean.
• Communicate with dispatch, maintenance and plant management to facilitate the flow of information required to provide outstanding customer service.
