Minimum starting $25.00 plus, per hour, depending on qualifications.

The Levy Company is currently hiring an experienced CDL Driver to safely operate trucks and tractor trailers, securing loads and moving construction equipment, materials, tools, and supplies to and from destinations throughout Texas.

Qualified driver will have at least five years of experience driving and operating a tractor trailer for moving equipment and materials, possess a valid Texas Class A commercial driver license (CDL) for at least five years, and be willing and able to work 50 hours per week on a frequent basis. Driver will also have a driving history of compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and meet all DOT qualifications.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed primarily in outdoor environments with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and all types of weather and temperature conditions. Constant driving of large vehicles for long distances with occasional overnight stays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Frequent operation of equipment with vibrating and moving parts.


• Frequent and repeated hand and arm movement to manipulate tools, handles, and levers.


• Frequent and repeated lifting from ground to various heights up to 50 pounds individually, and team lifting heavier items.


• Frequent and repeated exerting of force up to 100 pounds.


• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.


• Frequent walking on uneven and / or unpaved terrain.


• Frequent climbing steps, ladders, and in/out/onto vehicles.


• Frequent and repeated bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.


• Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles and mobile equipment and to read printed and electronic documents.


• Hearing capacity to receive, perceive, and react to common driving and construction environment noises.
