Job Title: CDL Truck Driver

Job Summary:
- We are a construction supply and delivery company seeking a delivery driver to deliver building materials to job sites, and returning home daily. As a delivery driver, you will ensure the safety of each delivery from the moment you leave the facility until you have completed each job.
Qualifications:
· Commercial Driving: 1 year (preferred)
· Driving: 3 years (preferred)
· CDL B (preferred)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport and deliver freight over the road in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
- Secure freight; tarp and un-tarp freight if operating flatbeds.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Operates company vehicles in a safe manner, being aware of not causing damage to driveways, buildings, or other areas of job sites.
- Following route directions and unloading material where assigned.
- Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects/repairs to Company personnel.
- Perform lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying freight.
- Working with customers in determining where to set the materials, and physically unloading the materials
- Represent the Company in a professional manner in all interactions with customers and company personnel.
- Consistently works in a safe, non-violent and courteous manner
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency;
- Must have at least a CDL Class B license
- Knowledge of all applicable DOT Regulations and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc.) required by the DOT and pass required pre-employment and random drug/alcohol test
- Acceptable background investigation results.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
Physical and Special Requirements:
· Able to squat, crouch and reach as needed to handle freight; able to enter and exit the vehicle’s cab numerous times each day
· Able to lift and carry freight weighing up to 80 pounds on a daily basis
· Able to handle, install and remove freight and/or special equipment weighing up to 80 pounds including chains, straps, tarps, tiedowns, etc.
· Able to pass a drug test (upon hire, and then at random thereafter)
· Must be able to work in severe weather conditions—both heat and cold
· Boom truck experience is not required, but is a plus
- May include occasional travel to multiple Edgemont Stone & Supply Co. location(s) (e.g. Folcroft, PA; Dover, DE) for training, delivery, or other purposes
