Job Overview: The CDL Local Driver is a vital member of the Amarillo Operations team within RMG. The CDL Driver is responsible for the transportation of containers or ag products between RMG and customer facilities. The operations are fast paced and require individuals to effectively communicate when handling heavy equipment. The CDL Driver must maintain a safe yet efficient mindset when operating tractor trailers to best assist and support with the successful onward movement of customer cargoes. 

Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm, with opportunity for overtime

Key Job Duties:

• Safely and effectively operate an OTR truck with or without a chassis/container both on and off facility grounds 
• Shuttle product between the RMG Fremont facility and other facilities in the region
• Execute work instructions and communicate progress in person, over the radio, or through text/call
• Develop and understanding of the yard layout and decking strategy to help navigate in the yard
• Actively search for, identify, and communicate safety or maintenance issues with the facility
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections on the equipment you intend to drive
• Operate the trailer gate to dump product into the hoop or silo

Requirements

• Highschool diploma, AA/secondary education preferred
• Preferred minimum 3 years driving tractor trailer
• CDL A and DOT physical required
• Organizational skills
• Time management
• Effective communication
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to communicate using technology
• Ability to push and pull 100 pounds occasionally 
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds frequently, ascend and descend ladders
