Job Description - CDL Local Driver

Innovative Chemical Products (ICP) is searching for a local Driver to join our team at our warehouse located at Sam Houston Center Dr in Houston, TX 77064

Must possess a CDL- Class A with hazmat endorsement. In addition, a minimum of 2 years commercial driving with a clean driving record is required.

Local position based in Houston
Hourly pay, plus overtime pay after 40 hours worked per week. Compensation-Based on experience
The role will divide time between driving and warehouse duties.
Average 30+ hours delivering products in a box truck or day cab w/trailer to customers in Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio regions. Expansion to Shreveport LA area expected.
Weekly 10+ hours at warehouse include, but are not limited to, driving a forklift, loading/unloading products, and general upkeep.
Monday through Friday position with occasional Saturday mornings required. Schedule will be generated with a daily goal to be home every night. If overnight stay is needed on the road, ICP provides a hotel room and meal allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport of materials for customer orders and intercompany transfers. Raw material pickup from vendors will also be necessary on occasion.
Small percentage of loads will require live load and unload; Hourly pay during these times.
Warehouse operation and deliveries with a power hand jack and liftgate.
Complete a daily electronic logging device (ELD)
Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
Manage routes and routines, proceeding in the most efficient way possible.
Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel.
Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
Conduct daily inspections of the equipment at the start & end of the shift and report any issues or damage to management.
Comply with all DOT and in-house rules and regulations.
Ability to lift items up to 70lbs
Forklift operational knowledge
