CDL Lot Worker

Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc. seeks a Full Time CDL Lot Worker for our Swansea, IL location.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Lot Worker to help monitor and move buses around out lot. The Lot Worker will assist with transporting buses to the different departments for service. They also test drive vehicles and take the vehicles for safety inspections.

Requirements:

• Check in New Bus using MTE process


• Check in Used Bus using MTE process


• Check in Customer Bus for service as needed


• Check in Lease return using MTE process


• Keep NO parking lanes open for incoming customer parking


• Straighten bus parking spots as needed


• Lot Scanning and locations twice daily


• Lot Scanning at remote lot twice a week


• Communicate with Supervisors on any problems or delays


• Assist with Pre-Delivery Inspection of vehicles when needed


• Test Drive vehicles as needed


• Assist with wash bay duties when needed


• Assist Service department as needed


• Assist with creating RO’s in business system as needed


• Answer incoming phones as needed


• Scan all service paperwork into business system


• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Requirements: 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers


• Excellent computer proficiency (Procede & MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)


• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service


• Must be able to consistently stand and walk for long periods of time 


• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion in a timely manner


• Strict observance of all safety procedures


• CDL class B with School Bus, Passenger, and Air-Brake endorsements Required


• High School Diploma or equivalent required


• Required to frequently work in ALL weather conditions (Hot, Cold, Rain, Snow)


• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
