Out on Monday. Home on Saturday. That is the rhythm of this Midwest fleet, and it is why drivers stay. Loads stay inside Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois, so your weekends belong to you. We are hiring around Bucyrus, Galion, Marion and the rest of north-central Ohio, both new CDL graduates and experienced drivers.
A typical week
You leave home Monday and run short regional loads across five Midwest states. Hauls are short, so you make more stops and more loads, and most of those loads earn load pay on top of miles. By Saturday you are back home for the weekend. Expect 1,500 to 1,800 miles a week, mostly drop and hook and preloaded trailers, with some live loads.
The pay
New CDL graduates
Training pay is $850 a week. You spend 3 to 5 weeks (200 to 250 hours) with a mentor, then move into your own truck on weekend-home lanes. You need a finished CDL-A school of at least 120 hours.
Experienced drivers
With 6 months or more of recent tractor-trailer experience, you start solo right after orientation, and your mileage rate follows your verified experience.
Orientation
Two days or less, $300 paid once you are hired. If you travel there by bus, your one-way ticket is reimbursed with a receipt.
Equipment
Benefits after 30 days
Medical, prescription, dental and vision plans, a 401(k), employee stock purchase, life and disability insurance, and a free online degree for you and one dependent.
